Could this be someone you know?

I have written this poem about someone I know. I dont think this person is being true to themselves. Maybe they dont know, maybe the do and just dont know how to be that person. Possibly it is about someone you know too.

You are not who you think you are
Even I can see

Who you're trying to portray
Is not who you should be

Is it the way you think
That it has to be

Afraid if you change
you will not be free?

What will life become

What might come undone

Right now you're not happy
And even I can see

That right now you are not

Hi Molly,

We've never met. I generally post my comments for Adolph and Dan. Primarily since I can relate.

I love the poetry. It jumpstarts my brain each day. I expect lots of people read your comments regularly. However, we're too busy contemplating what you wrote to post a commment.

Great to hear from you. I truly enjoy writing the poetry as it helps me express what I feel about certain things. I am much better with the written word versus the spoken one. Thanks for your comments.
