Guess this poem topic

I thought about this poem while I was working this morning. I have written it about something very specific. Can anyone guess what I wrote this poem about?

I see you, alone
You call to her but she is not there
All alone you wait and look
She has yet to come home
Is she lost, is she alone
Or is she gone
I don’t know if I will ever know
So I see you, alone
Waiting and calling
So sad to see you
You worry and wait
For your only love
And if you never find her
You will be lost
For the remainder of your life
Alone

This poem is about Sir Treadmill?

Nope, not about Mr. Treadmill. Guess again.

Is it about your sense of self/sense of purpose? jr

Nope, not about my sense of purpose.

Poetry is a very funny thing. This particular poem has nothing to do with me, actually it has nothing to do with any other human being. It is about something, so sad, yet so simple, and part of life.

Keep guessing

people tend to read things into poetry. What can seem so deep may be an observation of something very simple.

Ok, I will answer the mystery of the poem.

The poem I wrote on Sunday, it is about a lone male goose searching for his mate. Since he mates for life he has been spending the last couple of weeks, all alone calling for his mate. He resides in the parking lot of one of the buildings where I work. See, poetry can be so simple.
